Architectural Water Feature Design Competition: “Victims of the Galveston Flood”

Architectural Water Feature Design Competition for Pompeo Coppini’s “Victims of the Galveston Flood” heroic statue from 1904 destined for a site TBD in Galveston, Texas to commemorate the 8000 who drowned in the Storm of 1900.

The Trevi Fountain, the largest fountain in Rome, is one of the most famous water sculptures in the world. It honors various popes, water nymphs and “Oceanus, the central figure. The ultimate “water presentation” for the Victims heroic is critical to the statue exhibition to drive home the might of the ocean, the passion, power, tragedy and triumph of the young mother, her infant and her daughter. We seek an art benefactor to sponsor the water feature. Recommendations are appreciated!
